Out with the old and in with the new! Adventure and the outdoors is the name of the game with the new brand image for Camelbak. Being an avid outdoor enthusiast myself, I enjoyed ideating and thinking about what makes a good outdoor brand. The old Camelbak never seemed to hold a stake in branding and advertising, with a simplistic sans serif typeface and limited marketing foothold. The reimagined Camelbak utilizes the “compass logo” relating to the “Good no Matter Where in the World You Are” slogan, establishing the intended global reach of the brand. With this, is all new advertising in the form of magazine ads and packaging. Sustainable, chipboard materials help to give back to the environment while also using minimal colors to reduce chemical pollution.
